                                            É luta renhida:                         It’s epic battle:
                                             Viver é lutar.                            To live is to fight.
                                              A vida é combate,                     life is combat
                                               Que os fracos abate,                The weak killing,
                                                Que os fortes, os bravos          The strong, the brave

Se a linguagem é imprecisa: L (ab) utamos!  / If language is imprecise: Be (h) ave!

Se o amor não corresponde: L ( ab) utamos! /     If love does not match: Be (h) ave!         

Se  a aposentadoria não cabe: L (ab) utamos! /  If retirement does not fit: Be (h) ave!             

Se a mão ao traço imola: L (ab) utamos! /        If the hand to trace imola: Be (h) ave!         

Se o osso atravessa o caldo: L (ab) utamos!/  If the bone through the broth: Be (h) ave!     

Se o leitor nega o círculo: L (ab) utamos! /    If the lector denies the circle: Be (h) ave!           

E porque a vida exige uma transformação: /  And because life requires a transformaction:              

L (ab) utamos!                                                  /                                                                   be (h) ave

Ó Senhor, dê a todos nós a flor             /          O Lord, give us all  the flower

do deslumbramento                              /   of wonder                                                                                                                                                 

e a descoberta dos silêncios,                /              and the discovery of silences,

na poesia da vida,                                /              the poetry of life

na solidariedade da terra trabalhada!   /              solidarity land worked!

E se as calosas mãos já não criam:          /  And if calloused hands no longer believe:

Afaste de nós esse cálice!                      /     Move away from us this cup!

Que o vinho embriague, da hóstia, o pão    /  That the wine drunk, the host, the bread

 na mesa não seja apenas batata                  /    the table is not just potato                  

ou esmola do pedinte,                                /     or alms beggar,                                                                                         

 e que nossos filhos não vivam agarrados  /    and that our children do not live clinging

 as minguadas pensões de seus pais e avós,  /  to dwindling pensions their parents and               

                                                                                                                  grandparents,

 porque “ viver é lutar!”                               /    because "to live is to fight!"

E reorganizem a mudança                  /      And reorganize the change                                                        no foco de atenção: com consciência,   /    in the focus of attention: conscious,

sabemos o tempo não tem realidades,  /    we know the time has no reality,

apenas espia a juventude da natureza. /      only spy  youth of nature.

No país, mais um Guarani Gaiová    /         In the country, plus a Guarani Gaiová

em um pé de árvore.                        /             in a standing tree.

Que  livre de estrutura a curva ilumine,   /    Free to structure the light curve,      

do gosto a saliva, e não entorpeça           /     tasting saliva, not dull

esta língua em nossos lábios: luta renhida!  /   this language on our lips: epic battle!
